How long can the world endure all this?

The blog is starting out poorly today with multiple postings just made simply disappearing, one by one. Is that from a virus or what? I'll keep on trying.

I simply cannot answer the question posed by this blog title. Life has been getting pretty tough under Trump/Musk. Something has to give-- a backlash or a course corretion is brewing. The question is when will it happen? I hope to live to see the day.

Recently, I've been receiving so many heart-warming messages from former neighbors back on DC's Capitol Hill, making me still yearn to return. My wonderful spacious 3-story house there, my home for the last 56 years, is currently on the market. I am now also buying a little house in W Va. where, at age 87,  I've recently started living now, along with my son Jon and his trusty dog  Willow. It's not even the size of one floor of my DC house.

After more than 50 years, I had an almost violent emotional reaction to leaving DC, causing my right hand and arm to swell up painfully, prompting an emergency hospital visit here in W Va. where I was given IV treatment, as reported earlier on this blog. I've been sent a whopping $2,000 bill for that short emergency treatment.

A neighbor in DC just asked: Oh dear, what’s happened? Are you better? Please let me know. This is all quite upsetting seeing you that way, and selling your beautiful house too. If you need anything I’m here to help.

Rather slowly, I am accommodating to my recent move, starting to accept my new, more isolated life in W Va. No one lives in close proximity to us here. Would I go back to DC if I could possibly afford to still live there? Yes, in a heartbeat. You'd better believe it!

Donald Trump has proudly declared that he just invented a brand new word, “Basically, what we’re doing is equalizing. There’s a new word that I came up with, which is probably the best word,” he said.
No, that word is not new, having been around for hundreds of years, at least since 1599, according to dictionaries.

While I was posting some critical remarks here earlier about Elon Musk, they kept on disappearing, so I may not reember them all. Had Musk interfered somehow with my post? Surely he cannot monitor all email comments regarding himself.

In the vanished posting regarding Musk, just referred to above, I had oberved that Tesla sales had been tanking worldwide, but especially here in the USA, though Musk denies there is any problem. Nor has he acknowledged that the tariff effort that he convinced Trump to undertake has completey backfired.

Tesla U.S. Sales Plunge as G.M. and Others Make Gains

I'd also mentioned in my vanished posting that Musk has allegedly fathered 13 or 14 children with various women amid uncertainty about the actual child count. Does Musk even know how many children he has?

Elon Musk is also the shameless source of false claims of a genocide being perpetrated against white South African landowners that allowed him to bring white South African asylum seekers to the US while all others are being kept out. Yes, these folks have arrived here, but no black South Africans or other immigrants.

What is a court to do when Mr. Trump deliberately ignores or violates court orders, as he so often does? It is not feasible to actually arrest the President, though some of his helpers could be arrested, then claim they were only following presidential orders.

The Supreme Court Just Told The Trump Administration To Stop Their BS
The Trump administration continues to flagrantly ignore court orders, even from the Supreme Court, so what is a court to do? It cannot realistically arrest the President, a problem already mentioned before.

A President actually can be arrested, though then must cooperate voluntarily.

Former President Joe Biden, age 81, has now been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, a rather common form of cancer afflicting especially older men. I had a good male friend who died of prostate cancer as well as a family member whose prostate was removed early as a preventive measure. Years later, he is still alive.
But there is resistence to having the prostate removed, as it interferes with a man's ability to have an erection. But what if it's a matter of life and death?

I certainly agree with Hillary Clinton's observation on the urgent need to allow more immigrants into our country.
"One of the reasons why our economy did so much better than comparable advanced economies across the world is because we actually had a replenishment, because we had a lot of immigrants, legally and undocumented," Hillary Clinton has declared.

Pope Leo, age 69, was roundly criticized by the MAGA movement for apparently opposing Trump’s America First agenda, but the pope’s brother Louis has not been shy about displaying his
support for Mr. Trump and his policies.

Pope Leo's brother and his wife recently met with Trump and Vance at the White House.

I've warned about this before. No longer is the Holocaust a "get out free card" for Israel.

Wash. Post, Trump confronts South African president, pushing false claims of genocide

Elon Musk is the shameless source of these false claims of a genocide being perpetrated against white South African landowners, which allowed him to bring white South African asylum seekers into the US while all others are being kept out.
Donald Trump has been putting way too much faith in Elon Musk's allegations. He is beholden to Musk who had bankrolled his successful re-election campaign.

Meanwhile, deportations continue, though now with some judicial pushback.

And people are being deported to countries where they have never been and don't speak the language.

Wash, Post. Trump, White House lash out at judge who ruled on deporting migrants to South Sudan

I have actually traveled all over south Sudan. This is not a place where migrants will want to stay, very dry, very hot, and largely unpopulated with frequent tribal skirmishes.

CADAL, a human rights organization based in Argentina, recently made awards to the following individuals who may not even be aware of being recognized.
