Are we having fun yet?

Besides paying monetary damages related to his "sexual assault" ("rape," just by another name) of E. Jean Carroll, how about requiring Donald Trump to pay a penalty with prison time, since there is no statute of limitations for sex crimes? Isn't Trump's payment of the damages acknowledgment that he actually did what Carroll has accused him of doing? He shouldn't be allowed to buy his way out of punishment for a criminal offense. Yet, maybe a technically is involved here, in that Trump is paying  Carroll for having "defamed" her, rather than for actually having raped her. I'm glad she finally got something, although Trump certainly doesn't deserve to remain as president. He actually now belongs in prison!

In any case, Trump is still the US president and we may be stuck with him for the next year and a half. But he doesn't want to retire even then, already hinting about running as vice president on a future Republican ticket. Pity the poor president who might be elected on that ticket! Can you imagine what it would be like to have Donald Trump always looking over your shoulder, telling you just what to do and when? And if you as the actusl president just ignored his advice, do you think he wouldn't go to the press and go on the airwaves to complain loudly all about it?

The guy is toxic for our own nation and poses a continuing threat to the world until he actually goes to meet his Maker. Maybe he has bone spurs, maybe he has chronic venous insufficiency, and he may actually have "aced" the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, but whatever his personal attributes, he still needs to fully retire by the end of his term. Then he can go out to the golf course daily or maybe take up table tennis, just adopt a regular hobby and retire completely from government for the welfare of our country and the benefit of the entire world. His father Fred Trump lived to age 93. Donald Trump is now only 80, so he probably has quite a few years left to go. I am now age 88 myself, so I hope to live to see the day when he is gone, gone, gone completely from public office!

US strikes Iran again as Tehran warns of 'existential war' with America

Why is the US even still doing this now? Weren't we all working toward a ceasefire? Or is Netahnyahu urging Trump to continue the war, only started as Bibi's idea in the first place? Israel has been regularly  committing war crimes, but Trump has continued to funnel money there. Because Jews had been Nazi victims doesn't mean that the US should continue to support Israeli war crimes. We are already supporting Israel financially far beyond aid to any other country.

Senate Dems block defense bill in protest of Iran war

Postponing Netanyahu's bribery trial was really never a sufficient and justifiable reason for having launched the Iran war by assassinateing Iran's Ayatollah to begin with. Now it's proving rather hard to exit the war that Trump had started just on a whim. Instead, why not try making friends with Iran rather than still attacking that country willy-nilly? Extend the olive branch right now! In any case, since Bibi's trial has actually been postponed, it's high time to make peace with Iran. The US did so with Japan, did so with China, and also with Vietnam, so now it's high time to make peace with Iran. Let's even offer financial aid for repairing all the damage that Mr. Trump has so carelessly and thoughtlessly done. He knew how to start a war, but cannot seem to figure out how to end it.

Trump's approval rating hovering near record lows, latest poll shows

An "Iran war" trophy on the national mall now mocks Donald Trump. Has there ever been a president             so ridiculed and reviled by the whole world and even by his own people? Why did voters even choose him this time? They already knew what he was like. Some regret their vote, but it's too late now.

Mullin says migrants will be ‘deported wherever they are’ after Trump urges ICE to continue traffic stops

What is the point of deporting workers that we still really need here, or why else would they even be coming? We simply don't have enough working-age folks; that seems quite obvious. "Help wanted" signs are posted everywhere. Supply and demand, mostly demand and not enough supply.

Key House Democrats voice support for amendment to cancel Israel defense funding

Yes, let's drastically cut Israel's support, especially for defense spending, which is often being actually used for offense. Trump's good buddy Netanyahu seems safe for now, so time to cut back!

Cassidy to Trump public health nominee: ‘Why would you repeat those damn lies?’

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), chair of the Senate Health Committee, grew angry with President Trump’s nominee to lead the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) during his confirmation hearing on Wednesday over a misleading social media post about the hepatitis B vaccine. Sean Kaufman, Trump’s nominee to lead ASPR, appeared before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions during which Cassidy used his time to question him on a past LinkedIn post he’d written about the hepatitis B vaccine. Cassidy, a longtime physician, is a staunch advocate of immunizations against hepatitis B as he had specialized in treating liver conditions. Kaufman had questioned the need for the vaccine.

Hegseth announces annual testosterone screenings for service members

Hegseth wants this screening for service members over 30, when testosterone may be starting to gradually decline. Why even measure testosterone levels in younger men? We already know they have high levels and might actually benefit from a slow decline, perhaps becoming less impulsive and aggressive. Female service members will always have lower levels.

NY Times, Hegseth Plans to Screen All Troops, Including Women, for Low Testosterone

Pete Hegseth, as defense secretary, has sought to cultivate an image as a manosphere-friendly leader.

AI Overview
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has actively built a "manosphere" image by promoting "High-T" military policies, embracing vaccine skepticism, and rolling back inclusion efforts for women and transgender troops.

Does Hegseth perhaps now have a financial interest in promoting testosterone supplements? This is becoming ridiculous! Hegseth's past judgment on other matters has been proven to be gravely deficient, including for his war-crime attacks on civilian boaters navigating in international waters. The man has very poor judgment and is totally unqualified for his position, still posing a grave menace to all Americans and even to the world. Why Trump ever named him and still keeps him in office remains a mystery.
I've speculated that Hegseth's family might have given Trump a big donation, but Tump hardly needs that any more, as his own family is now financially benefitting astronomically just from his presidency.

And remember what we just said in the previous post?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) carries significant risks, including blood clots, thickened blood, and infertility. It can also worsen sleep apnea, accelerate the growth of existing prostate cancer, and cause gynecomastia (male breast enlargement).

So the government should not be promoting testosterone therapy, which has grave risks as well as some benefits, and certainly should not be providing it to service members still in their 30's.  So why evem measure testosterone levels then? Their gradual decline might actually be a good thing.

Donald Trump wants to roll back protections for endangered species like the Spotted Owl.
