A little of everything now

 

OK, folks, I've learned the hard way that computer drafts will not be saved unless they are uploaded and posted publicly on the internet. Otherwise, they will simply disappear. 

             Here above, I was with my granddaughter Natasha, whom I hope to see again soon. 

My daughter Melanie, Natasha's mother, took very good care of me in Florida at my great-grandson's high school graduation.

Here now is a car that my family in Florida just bought--a Nissan Rogue. There is no public transportation, not even buses, out where they live, so this car will be quite useful. No more calling an Uber or a taxi to get them wherever they need to go. It's just a used car, but has been a real game-changer now for my family living and working in Seminole on Florida's Caribbean coast.

Meanwhile, back in Washington, DC, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been keeping Donald Trump's secrets and faithfully backing up the President's positions. Serving as Secretary of State has impelled him to always publicly support Trump, although Rubio may have tried to modify some of Trump's more extreme ideas in private.  I once had a long, very frank conversation with Rubio in English and Spanish some years ago on a flight from Florida to DC.  At that time, he impressed me as a reasonable, thoughtful guy, but working for Trump may have skewed his perspective and even changed his own opinions. 

I happen to know some private family information (nothing criminal) about the Chief Justice that does not appear in his official online bio. That's all I'm saying. My lips are sealed.

Did artificial intelligence create create it independent of an actual human? Donald Trump certainly is a polarizing figure, yet a slight majority of American voters actually chose him as our president, so now we are stuck with him for better or worse, at least until his term ends on January 2, 2029. That seems rather too long to have to wait, but maybe we have no alternative. Think of the relief so many of us will feel when he is finally gone, gone, gone from political office.

Canadians don't want visitors to get confused about Lake Ontario, so they've now posted a sign showing its proper name. As mentioned, I have family members on both sides of the border. My late father, Leonard J. Currie, a well-known architect, was born in Alberta. Even though I don't like cold weather, I might decide to join them there just for the duration of Trump's presidency.  Apparently, a number of Americans have already gone north and even more may now be on their way.
