Trump and Musk now own this recession

Trying to write my next blog posting now under
considerable duress because of multiple computer problems and concern over how Trump/Musk's economy is impacting me personally. Other retirees like me are feeling the hit.

Former Costa Rican president and Nobel
Prize winner Oscar Arias, whom I've actually
met, has had his visa revoked by Trump/Musk.
Arias now accuses Trump of acting like a
Roman Emperor.
In my Confessions book, there is
a photo of me congratulating a younger Arias, clad only in
swimming trunks, after he swam the whole length
of a brand new pool underwater to inaugurate it back in 1990.

Donald Trump now says he plans to ask the Supreme Court, where he has named a number of justices, to OK his plan to seek a 3rd term. He sounds pretty confidant. He also wants the Court to revoke birthright citizenship, even though we really need more people of working age here right now to keep the economy going. Our country already has an excess of old folks like me.

Trump, who would be 83 when his presidential term ends, had declared that Joe Biden, who had turned 82 by the end if his term, was simply "too old" to run for president again. Yet, Trump does not foresee himself as being too old at 83 to run for the unprecedented 3rd term that he is now asking the Supreme Court to grant him. We can only hope that the Court, though many of those justices were appointed by Trump himself, will nonetheless have mercy on us long-suffering citizens of this country and not allow that to calamity to happen.

What evidence, if any, have Trump and Musk offered that fired federal workers have been unproductive?

I've tried to take out a loan based on the value of my house and some investments, but with the market falling hourly, the value of my collateral also falls hourly, so I keep needing more and more, and so even if I can borrow, it's been impossible to keep up. If I go into bankruptcy because of the plunge in the economy, then so be it. Let me confront that when it happens and may those trying to extract ever more money from me, a woman now aged 87, confront me directly. Of course this continuing market downturn in stocks, property, and everything else, still plunging right now, is not an act of God or a rare fluke or a stroke of blind fate, but a totally foreseeable catastrophe caused by deliberate actions taken by Trump and Musk.

Meanwhile, Tesla sales have been slipping globally.

Now it looks like Musk will take the fall and may finally be on his way out. Meanwhile, Trump's tariffs are taking their toll on all of us.

Musk and his affiliated groups sunk $21 million into flipping the Wisconsin Supreme Court to conservative control, only to see his candidate lose.
