Back and forth once again

Here I was in Florida with Tash, Mel, and their friends at De'Andre's high school graduation.

Guests were given bottles of water bearing an image of De'Andre in cap and gown. .

(Ripped jeans are still in style.)  Tash is my granddaughter, Mel is her mother.

The Country Inn is a popular place to stay here in Berkeley Springs, West Va.  My son works at a sister lodge, CoolFont Resort, that burned down and has now been rebuilt.

Why are there big white space above? I cannot close them. Hope they don't appear on readers' screens.

We dropped some canned fruits and vegetables off at a roadside kiosk where homeless and hungry people can take them. (We no longer leave a can opener, as it alwasy gets stolen.) Then a few hours later when we passed by, we saw 2 people taking some of the cans.

Trump criticizes the judge who ordered his name removed from the Kennedy Center

The president called the ruling proof that "our Court System is RIGGED."

Only if a ruling doesn't go his way is the system called "rigged."

Donald Trump always finds a way to make news.

What is he looking for? Mount Rushmore? Greenland? A Nobel Prise?

These families were all deported back to Colombia, For them the "American Dream" became a nightmare. (My son Jon was born in Colombia. I graduated from high school there.)

These folks could have enriched our country, kept the US population from shrinking, and now becoming top-heavy with oldsters like me, but they were banished. Let them now contribute to Colombia istead.

NY Times, The U.S. Boat Strike Campaign Has Now Killed Over 200 People

Without a declaration of war or adequate warning, under the apparant direction of US  Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, a man with only National Guard experience, yet appointed and supported by Donald Trump, means that surrendering boaters in internationl waters are still being murdered on the high seas. Isn't that a war crime? As Americans, how can we let this travesty continue in our name?

We need to get rid of Hegseth and Trump, who appointed him, as both continue to commit war crimes, and then subject them to proper punishment.

Most Americans now realize that electing Trump was a big mistake, but waiting until his term expires is just too long, as he is doing way too much damage.

Speaking of Franklin, my younger daughter in Hawaii has a pet guinesa pig named Franklin.  He lives outside all year round, as her husband is allergic to furry creatures,

Yahoo News: Israel captures Crusader castle in Lebanon

Yahoo News:

Some of those freed from a flooded cave in Laos are helping in efforts to find the last two missing men trapped inside, rescuers have said. So far, five of the seven initially missing have been rescued but it is believed the remaining two men are trapped deeper inside the cave in a mountainous area of the central Xaysomboun province. The men, all local villagers, entered the narrow tunnels on 20 May in search of gold but flash floods stopped them from leaving. Two searchers are recovring in the hospital.

This message just came from a former DC neighor:
National Guard people are still walking up and down the streets. I have even seen them in a few places where I believe they can do some good. Most of our soccer games are in a neighborhood where some of the neighborhood kids run amok at times. But, I have seen much less of this this spring. There are some good things going on here. For example, the president's name has been taken off the Kennedy Center. But, now he wants to put his face on a $250 bill!

My former neighbor sent this photo of kids in day care out for a walk.
