She was simply not interested, There is no statutory limit on rape, though because of all his legal manuvering, Trump is only charged with sexual abuse, not actual rape, though the distintion is unclear. If he had been convicted of rape. he probably could not hold office today.

Trump still hasn't paid yet on Thursday. In fact, within minutes of the ruling, his lawyers were already calling Carroll's legal team asking for more time. Her attorney, Robbie Kaplan, said no.

Now Trump says he will also ask the Supreme Court to rehear its landmark birthright citizenship case after the justices ruled that he does not have the power to unilaterally overturn the long-standing constitutional principle that guarantees citizenship to just about all children born in the United States.

"The Supreme Court's ruling is wrong. I will be asking for a Rehearing by the United States Supreme Court, IMMEDIATELY," the president wrote in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday. "This miscarriage of justice will destroy America if they don't change their absolutely insane decision." (The Supreme Court is actually on recess right now.)

Trump habitually tells lies, makes commitments he doesn't plan to keep, invents tall tales, and often changes his mind. His word is absolutely unreliable, a complete and total farce. He always decides to do whatever seems best for himself in the moment, even if it harms you and me. Why do people actually vote for him? Because they still believe in his promises, even though he so often breaks them. He has an amazing capacity to convince voters that he is right, even when his word can never be trusted.

Why did the ICE officer kill this man? Did he fail show a driver's license? Would that deserve the death penalty? The victim obviously had lived for many years in this country, as he had grown kids actually born here. ICE officers don't need to carry guns if they are only checking people's credentials. This ICE officer should not have been armed, as he was just too trigger happy. He now deserves life in prison for killing an unarmed civilian.

North Korea and Eritrea: These countries have the strictest policies, completely outlawing civilian gun possession. Almost no gun murders actually occur there and very few murders overall.
China: Individual firearm ownership is generally illegal. Handguns are strictly banned, and civilians can only obtain licenses for specific activities like hunting or target shootiung via authorized groups. The murder rate in the US is 10 times higher than in China.
Japan: Civilians cannot legally own handguns. People can only apply for hunting rifles or airguns, which require exams and mental health checks. Likewise, the US murder rate is at least 10 times higher than Japan's
Cambodia: Private firearm ownership has been prohibited for the general public since 1999. Therefore, the murder rate there is almost zero.
Singapore, Brunei, the Maldives, and Vatican City also broadly prohibit civilian gun ownership. Several island nations like Nauru and the Solomon Islands have similar total bans. No guns mean there are very rare gun deaths and very few murders overall..

As a result, in countries where civilians cannot own guns, the number of gun deaths is miniscule or even non-existent and any murders at all are also quite rare. As indicated before, someone can always be killed with a sword or a knife, also by a bow and arrow, possibly with poison, or even by strangling with bare hands. But the chances of being murdered anywhere that restricts gun ownership are really quite small, whatever other means might be used. Fewer guns means fewer gun injuries and deaths, as well as fewer murders overall; that's just basic math and plain common sense. We all are much safer living where there are no guns at all.

Canada, unfortunately for its own citizens, borders the US where guns can cross the border undetected. But even in Canada, the murder rate is only half of what it is here in the US. Donald Trump's namesake son is wrong, as the ability to send guns through the mail would likely benefit the grab-a-gun franchise, where Donald Jr. is a shareholder, thus making more money for him, but at the tragic cost of so many more American lives.
