Yahoo News, 'I love the inflation': Trump explains why he's not worried about the rising cost of living.
If you are a billionaire like Donald Trump with multiple money-making businesses, maybe inflation is not so scary, as you can just charge more for whatever you are selling, whether the use of your golf courses or the occupation of rooms in your hotels. He can just charge more for everything. Trump certainly has never considered puting his holdings in a blind trust, as other presidents have done. So what about "conflicts of interest"? There are no conflicts whatsoever--he's just trying to make as much money as he possibly can. Trump is very happy being able to make money from his presidency, with his presidential salary of $400,000 being the very least of it.
The paragraph above Trump's image comes out in all caps on my screen, which certainly was not how I wrote it, but even after doing it over, it still shows up in all caps. What did I tell you about the blog deities? I am appealing once again to the gods and goddesses of ancient Egypt for their divine intervention. Do they have any influence over the blog deities of today?
Apparently not, as everything above still appears in all caps in my preview..
This morning, my son and I took the dog out early for her run because the day promised to be hot and humid. Driving through the woods, the car ahead of us stopped suddenly when a deer apparently ran into it, though the deer then ran off into the woods, apparently unharmed. We asked the woman driving the car if she needed any help. She shook her head, then called on her phone to report having possibly hit the deer, though maybe the deer had actually run into her car.

Trump seeks even greater fame and glory and even more money than he already has. How can anyone measure their worth if not by money and by having really lots of it?
Why not?
Images of historic European castles have been popping up daily when I first open my computer screen. Right now, it's Neuschwansten Castle in Bavaria, Germany.
Online, someone asks whether Donald Trump a millionare? The answer: Donald Trump is purported to be much more than a millionare, actually even a billionare,
Google says: Donald Trump is not just a millionaire; he is a multi-billionaire. As of 2026, financial publications estimate his net worth to be in the billions.
Additionally, now as president, Trump and his family live totally rent-free at the White House, with unlimited travel allowances, thousands of dollars for entertainment, food, and other perks, all tax-free. He and his family live in complete luxury, perhaps even exceeding that of traditional royalty. It's no wonder that inflation doesn't bother Mr. Trump and that he can truthfully say that he actually loves it. All of his family's private holdings are growing exponentially in value. Meanwhile, he and his family probably pay less in taxes than either you or me.

3 Indian sailors killed in U.S. strike on oil tanker as Trump says he will hit Iran 'very hard tonight'
The U.S. said its military carried out a "precision" strike after the vessel, which it said was carrying oil from Iran, failed to follow its instructions.
Now without a declaration of war or the approval of any international body, Trump has annointed himself king of the world and master of all the seas, acting as an unelected universal dictator, free to kill with impunity those from any country anywhere in the world who fail to follow his dictates. Ancient kings had nothing like the powers that he now wields and thoroughly enjoys.
Only Spain's elected prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, has dared to push back, not permitting Trump to put bases in his country. Sánchez recently met with Pope Leo who spoke with him in Spanish. Neither one is a Trump fan.

Here is another castle where German royalty sometimes resided.
Perched atop the Bavarian Alps, Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle (the first castle shown above) is a 19th-century palace built by King Ludwig. While most Euopeans lived in very humble abodes, lacking even basic amenities, members of royalty traveled from one luxurious castle to another, each maintained by a bevy of servants standing ready to fulfill the sovereign's every whim. Each castle had artfully landscaped gardens where the king could wander safely at all hours.
Two other of Ludwig's favorite residences were the Linderhof and Herrenchiemsee palaces, where he often liked to roam their luxury gardens durng the night. After then staying up all night, the king would then sleep all during the day. Servants had to be on-call day and night.
However, being king might sometimes mean a lonely existence. Friends could not drop by just to say hello. In fact, members of royalty had very few friends.
Here was King Ludwig as depicted during his life, first in an early photo, then in a later painting.
Google comments on the king's ultimate fate: King Ludwig II of Bavaria was effectively deposed on June 12, 1886. His cabinet conspired to remove him, using a heavily flawed psychiatric report to declare him clinically insane. The very next day, he and his psychiatrist were found dead in Lake Starnberg in mysterious, debated circumstances.
The German monarchy was abolished in 1918, but descendants still carry their titles and live in some luxury at continued public expense, as also happens in other parts of Europe.
OK, folks, that's all for today, as it's already late afternoon when even more odd quirks start appearing on the blog.
