Short and sweet

Readers are asked to please excuse odd spacing and other anomalies below. It has become increasingly difficult to make corrections, so I ask readers for their understanding. Some days, posting is easier. some days, like today, it is much harder. Because of so many problems with this post, it will be short and I hope somewhat sweet in terms of providing information.

Would Mr. Trump have forgotten all about this? Or does he still remember and has simply decided to lie?

E. Jean Carroll's allegations against Trump become more credible by the hour.

Wash. Post, Catholic bishops launch new program in defense of migrants

Glad to see someone now defending migrants, as they still want to come to our country
and we still really need their contributions and their continued presence here. Donald Trump
is totally wrong on the migrant issue. His own wives were illegal migrants who stayed beyond
the terms of their visas. There has never been a legal and practical method of allowing migrants
into the US--or, for that matter, into any other country. Even the sea has not prevented illegal
migrants from entering Britain nor prevented Africans from arriving in Europe. At best,
measures to deter or push back migrants have prevented them from becoming an avalanche.

Officials from allied nations who are now urging Trump to cut back on the lethal Caribbean strikes include those from Britain, Canada, and France. Are these strikes even legal under international law? Probably not without a declaration of war.

TIME, The Trump Administration has authorized a series of missile strikes on vessels in the Caribbean

alleged to be carrying drug shipments. 76 people have been killed in some 19 strikes thus far. Trump

and his Administration argue the military action is necessary to curb the flow of drugs into the

United States.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who also answers to the title “Secretary of War,” following President

Donald Trump’s rebranding of the Defense Department, has so far led the charge in announcing many

of the strikes, which he says are “protecting the homeland and killing these cartel terrorists who wish to

harm our country and its people.”

The U.S. government has not yet released any evidence indicating that any of the targeted ships were

 actually smuggling drugs.

The cease-fire with Hamas has blunted the hunger faced by Gazans during the war.

But aid agencies say Israeli

restrictions are still hobbling their work.
