Now what?

Now I'm back again in West Viginia where I'm enjoying more comfortable weather than in Florida. Today it is 75 F here, with a light breeze and sunny, just about perfect.

In Tampa, where I just left, it is hovering near 90 F, and is very humid as well.

When my son and I went out early this norning, I got a root-beer float and bought a few groceries, then left a few canned goods in a kiosk for homeless and hungry people.

Rental cabins at the CoolFont West Virginia resort where my son works have now been filling up fast. Pets are most welcome, with one couple even bringing their pet rabbits.

Donald Trump is still on the warpath against enemies both real and imaginary.

And he is still seeking more lasting fame after his forays into South Dakota and Greenland just didn't pan out.

Mr. Trump would now like to see his own image on a new $250 bill.

Maybe he can make that happen.

He certainly doesn't want to admit guilt or to have to pay up after Carroll won a $5 million judgment against him. Instead, he is still fighting her, still accusing her, when he first started this fight by raping her. And now, incredibly, he is the US president.

DOJ launches criminal probe into E. Jean Carroll: Sources

The Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll, the former Elle magazine columnist who accused President Donald Trump of sexual assault, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. The investigation is allegedly centered around whether Carroll committed perjury during her civil lawsuits against President Trump, after which she was awarded a $5 million judgment, the sources said. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche recused himself from the investigation, given his past representation of Trump in the matter, the sources said.

Donald Trump apparently still doesn't want to pay up after Carroll won her civil case against him related to his alledged raping of her in a department store years ago, which would have been a criminal trial if Trump has not weaseled his way out of it. Now he is trying to weasel out of actually paying a civil penalty. The guy is a lifetime weasel, who uses all sorts of subterfuges and tricks to avoid acknowledging his mistakes and paying what he rightfully owes. I am not the only one who considers Donald Trump a weasel.

In South Africa, farmers, both white and black, face serious crime problems, mostly because of severe income inequality. The same is true in other parts of Africa as well as in much of Latin America. My well-off friends in Latin America never dare to leave their homes unattended, even for a single hour.  A trusted servant must always stay home whenever they are away. She sometimes brings her own children to be there with her--kids otherwise being cared for by relatives and only seen by her on Sunday, her day off..There is also always a watch dog at each manor house and a high iron fence topped with razor wire, as I've noted before..

Palestinian farmers on the West Bank feel vulnerable, but have few defenses.

Palestinians in the area still till the land and care for their animals themselves.

Folks have been going  out and about now in South Africa.

If folks from all those distant parts of the world should ever visit us here in West Virginia, they might be shocked to see us leaving our house unattended with all doors unlocked and windows wide open. We usually take our dog out with us wherever we go.
Our belongings consist of a stove, refrigerator, computor, and household furniture, just like what everyone else has--nothing really considered worth stealing.

Our dog Willow here out on our screened-in porch, stands guard, but she is not very fierce nor is a guard dog really needed..

A baby elephant rejected by her mother, just born at DC's National Zoo, is being tended by other female elephants. She must be fed with a bottle because Mom refuses to have anything to do with her.

Didn't I tell you about the king of the weasels?
