Let's see what's going on now and whether the post will stick this time around. A couple of efforts had to be discarded, so this third one may be the charm.
Hegseth is testifying before Congress again. Does he have anything new to say? Apparently not.

The Hill, The resounding defeat of Sen. Bill Cassidy (R) in Saturday’s Louisiana primary has sent shock waves through the Senate Republican Conference, underscoring how Republicans who look to distance themselves from President Trump and his low approval ratings will have to think twice about paying a political price for perceived disloyalty.
Trump still has clout with Republican voters and he is on the warpath again.
NY Times, Trump’s Push to Defeat Massie Is the Most Expensive House Primary in Recent Years
Trump didn't like that idea at all. He wants to conduct as many surveillances as he likes without bothering with any warrant--just a pesky annoyance slowing down the many searches he already wants to conduct on his perceived enemies. He'd like to order a thorough search now on Massie, hoping to find something juicy to pin on him.
Trump shows that he can be very petty and vindictuve, and though his memory is failing, he definitely holds a grudge.
As we said, Trump’s Push to Defeat Massie Is the Most Expensive House Primary in Recent Years
Trump has gone after Republicans before, but even more fiercely against black Democrats, such as Maryland Governor Wes Moore, and more especially against female black Democrats, such as Fani Willis, Lisa Cook, and Letitia James.
Trump's allegations against James stem from a 2020 home purchase in Norfolk, Virginia, where he accused NY Attorney General James of misrepresenting whether the property would be her primary residence to secure a more favorable mortgage rate.
sought to block her investigation into his business practices, waon both procedural and substantive grounds.
Israeli forces fired shots at Gaza flotilla, 48 boats intercepted, group says
This was an aid flotilla that Israel seemed anxious to stop. Israel says the shots fired did not have live ammunitian, but how could those targeted have known that?
Israel Intercepting Gaza-bound Flotilla Vessels, Won't Disclose Location of Detained Activists, Organizers Say
Israeli forces apprehended most of the Gaza-bound flotilla vessels on Tuesday, organizers said, after saying earlier Tuesday that hundreds of activists on board the Gaza aid flotilla were detained by Israeli forces and were being taken to an Israeli port.
The US and Israel certainly are looking now like the bad guys in the Middle East's growing conflict, apparently started by Trump and Netanyahu just on a whim. Now it has spread throughout the region, creating even greater hostility against both the US and Israel.
Trump is saying that the main issue is to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Are they perhaps developing such a weapon, possibly in underground tunnels and labs? There is no evidence of that but if it should be happening, how would the US and Israel even know? Anyway, that was not the ostensible reason for the initial US attack on Iran, which was to delay Bibi's corruption trial. Now that his trial has been delayed, even though we've killed the Ayatollah and gravely injured his son, can we then get back to peace talks? Is this how all major wars have started, from a small fire then bursting into a real conflagration? Time to tamp out the flames right now and make peace with Iran, not letting matters escalate any further. Let's backtrack immediately today!
Maybe some Israelis might like to see a US/Iran war, but that is not in Israel's interest either. How about sending Iran a peace dove carrying an olive branch? How about doing that immediately, Mr. Trump? Let's make peace now! No use going through a bloody and costly war only to end up with the peace dove at the end.
